謝謝entangled推薦：《Garrow's Law》是BBC One播映的古裝劇集，依據歷史人物William Garrow(1760/4/13﹣1840/9/24) 的經歷為藍本改編。他是倫敦的法庭律師，具有先進的法律觀，堪稱是法制改革的先驅。第二季第二集劇情更提到當時非常知名的Captain Robert Jones同性性行為入罪案例。

Captain Robert Jones是實實的歷史人物，但他是在1772年7月被控與未成年少男性交而判處死刑。此案在當時的報章媒體大幅報導，各派意見吵得沸沸揚揚。這種景況只有後來Oscar Wilde的案情可以相提並論。（參考英文資料：The Case of Captain Jones, 1772）

影集做了一點戲劇改編，安排Garrow為Jones辯護，Jones的戀人也換個成年男子。不過這無損Garrow的中心思想，就有評論指出，Garrow擔任法官時，曾在 1820 年審理 Richard Gilpin同類型的案件，他並沒將同性性行為判罪。

I have enjoyed watching this series (Season 1 & 2). It gives you some idea how the things were done at that time. Most of time it's cruel and unfair. It really needs people like Garrow to give the lower class a fair trail.

Good performance from the whole team. Highly recommended.
